This is undoubtedly a bad condition. In low temperature, engine oil has poor fluidity when the engine is first started and it cannot provide the best lubrication for the engine. The engine has greater operating resistance and fuel consumption is also higher. Fortunately, the impact of low temperature is only short term. The temperature will gradually increase as the car runs normally and the condition will improve.

What can you do?
Drive your car with care before it reaches the normal operating temperature. Engine oil with higher fluidity is recommended for cold areas.

Hot summer 
Note: If high temperature leads to poor heat dissipation in the vehicle, wear and tear of the engine will increase. Needless to say, engine oils of higher quality perform better in harsh conditions. 
In fact, the impact of temperature alone will not usually lead to poor heat dissipation.
