Situation
Chandrahasni Ispat Pvt Ltd , operates three pipe production line. A competitor’s grease had been selected for roller bearing lubrication after field production. However, it suffered from grease emulsification and grease run-off due to harsh conditions like high temperature and flushing water, which could result in bearing breakdown ahead of time and frequently without good lubrication protection.
Recommendation
ExxonMobil Team analyzed the working condition and maintenance practices of the production line and recommended Mobilgrease XHP™ 222. A lithium-complex grease with superb water resistance and spray-off properties which can help to assure proper lubrication and protection even in the most severe water exposure conditions.
